Wow this thing is garbage. One of the worst built cars I've ever driven, maybe on par with my girlfriend's Caliber. Can't believe someone spent $32k+ on this new. Did they not sit in it? The only redeeming quality is the Hemi and I'm pretty sure it has a bottom end knock at 130k miles.

I have always thought the styling to be hideous, which is a shame because the 1st gen Durango was a great looking SUV IMHO.

How plastic-y is the plastic compartment?

As a first-gen Durango owner, I do not like these whatsoever. They're way too big. Yeah, I understand that all Durangos are large vehicles, but these are just too boxy, and it's trying too hard. The first-gen far exceeds it in appearance, and the third one is an absolute thing of beauty.

Most Jeeps and Dodges from this era were not great in the interior department.

The Commander was probably just as plastic inside, but at least it wasn't ass ugly in appearance.
